Chapin Academy follows the Classical model of teaching history in chronological cycles, with time honored, age appropriate works of literature corresponding to the historical studies.

Science topics are also chosen within this family cycle, rather than randomly assigned to one grade.  This allows all members of the family to study the same topics, although at different levels of difficulty, spending their time reading together and exploring through field trips and projects together as family.

Due to the progressive nature of Mathematics and Language Arts, however, these subjects are taught grade specifically.

Our low student-teacher ratio gives our students individualized instruction to maximize their success.  Our curriculum is designed to be college preparatory.  Most importantly, all classes are taught with a Christian worldview, recognizing God's sovereignty over all His creation and His loving plan for His children.
